who are learning about adulthood. The boys’ names are: Otto, Hanschen, Ernst, Georg, Moritz, and Melchior. The girls’ names are: Wendla, Martha, Ilse, Anna, and Thea. They learn about how babies are made, their bodies, and life.
Wendla and Melchior are lovers. Wendla ends up getting pregnant, and Melchior is the father. Wendla’s mother and father are angry, so they make her get an abortion. During the procedure she ends up dying, which is very, very sad. That is just part of the story. There is a lot more to it, but you’ll just have to see “Spring Awakening” for yourselves
I recommend this play, because the whole cast is wonderful! They are great singers, dancers, and actors! It is a little inappropriate for younger audiences though, because of the mature content. For example, they show how a baby is made.
Overall, I think it was an amazing show! I really loved it! The music is romantic and fun. I had a great time!
