How did you get started in acting?
My mom is a singer/actress. I saw her in a show when I was 5 years old and knew that I wanted to be up there doing the same thing. Since July 2007. Is it hard to do scenes that deal with mature content? What is your day like before a performance? Well, since your really doing your job at night, the day is really free for me to do lots of things unrelated to the show, such as run errands, go to meetings or auditions, etc. We do have the occasional rehearsal here and there though. What do you like to do in your spare time? How does it make you feel that people look up to you as a Broadway performer? It's an amazing feeling knowing that you are affecting someone's life. It just makes me want to work that much harder and do that much of a better job so that those people continue to look up to me. I don't want them to be disappointed! Is it difficult to remember all your lines, dances and movements? When you do a show 8 times a week they're pretty hard to forget! Where did you grow up? In a city called Nashaua, New Hampshire. It's about an hour from Boston. What are your future plans? I'm not exactly sure at the moment. I always wanted to go to college, so that's a definite possibility for me. What did you want to be when you were a kid? An actress. Have you been in any other shows? No. Is the cast close? What have you learned from each other?
How Long have you been in "Spring Awakening"?
The only thing that is hard is making sure that I am acting the scene well enough for it to come across correctly to the audience. I've never had any problem with the content of the scenes though. I think they are directed in a beautiful, tasteful, and realistic way and I love to act in them.
How are you like and unlike Wendla?
Wendla just wants to be heard and listened to, which is very like myself. I never care if people agree with what I have to say, but I just want to know that they listened to it. Other than that though, I find Wendla and I are incredibly different people who live in very separate mindsets. She's definitely a lot more wide-eyed than I am.
